Privacy Policy
Privacy is central to everything we do at the Company. And we've enshrined transparency as one of our Company values. Accordingly, we aspire to be transparent about what little data we do collect. We do not maintain user accounts and do not collect and store personal data. When you interact with the Services, we collect only:
Data We Collect (Core Service)
  • • Wallet Address (i.e. Public Key address).
  • • User submitted conditions for the Wallet Address.
Data We Collect (Donations Page)
  • • Email Address when donating (entering an email address is optional).
How We Use Data
Data is used according to our Data Policy.
How We Share Data
We may share data in the course of litigation, regulatory proceedings, compliance measures, and when compelled by subpoena, court order, or other legal procedure. We may also share data when we believe it is necessary to prevent harm to our users, our Company, or others.
All data submitted in our core service (i.e. the wallet address and associated conditions) is viewable via the search field on MEDIATE.IO.
Donor information is ephemeral (i.e. stored for a short time, typically for the duration of the longest block confirmation time on the BTC network) and it is impossible for us to share any submitted donor information once our systems automatically delete it. No copies or backups are configured for our donation process.
Security
We implement and maintain reasonable administrative, physical, and technical security safeguards to help protect data from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Nevertheless, transmission via the internet is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of information.

Data Policy
MEDIATE.IO's core service was designed and built to operate without relying on personally identifiable information or analytics services.
Internet Protocol ("IP") address information is not collected, processed or stored while using MEDIATE.IO's core service however, we may, at some point, implement the use of a firewall to protect MEDIATE.IO's servers from bots. This firewall may rely on an IP address to operate, which may be held in a cache for periods of approximately 60 minutes.
Browser User-Agent information is not collected, processed or stored while using MEDIATE.IO's service.
User submitted data (and derivations of it) such as:
  • • the wallet address
  • • its' associated conditions
  • • verification status
is stored indefinitely* until deleted by the wallet owner via a verified submission (learn more about how submissions are verified).
Copies of the respective data held for disaster recovery purposes are deleted simultaneously.
* As long as MEDIATE.IO remains a going concern.
Submitting an email address is optional via the donations page.
  • • This email address is collected to send the donor a thank you email once the donation confirms on the respective blockchain.
  • • This email address is stored temporarily and it is deleted once the thank you email is successfully sent.
How is a submission verified?
1. When conditions are added to, or deleted from, an address, the address owner will have a short window to verify the change or submission.
2. The address owner will be instructed to verify the submission by performing a deposit of a specified amount (i.e. an action only the address owner will be allowed to complete).
3. MEDIATES.IO's server will poll the relevant blockchain for this transaction and verify the submission once the respective transaction is located.
